Gabriel & Dresden
Gabriel & Dresden

Mix: [ARTIST ALBUM]
Label: Organized Nature
Date: 27.06.06

The hotly anticipated self-titled debut artist album by Gabriel & Dresden, the award winning San Francisco-based artist / DJ / production duo, on their own Organized Nature label has arrived. The LP release is backed up by an extensive world DJ tour schedule that kicked off with an album listening party at the 2006 Winter Music Conference, is currently blowing audiences away across the USA, and arrives in Europe from June through to September.

Gabriel & Dresden spent the last year locked up in their studio with two world-class vocalists, vintage guitars, an electric bass, various percussion instruments and a host of electronics, including their trusty Minimoog and TR-909. The result is an artist album that will change everything you've ever thought about dance music. At the heart of it all is the signature Gabriel & Dresden sound: sexy house and techno beats, lush emotive music, haunting melodies, and powerful vocals. This album proves that credible underground production techniques, meaningful lyrics, pop hooks, and kick drums, can all exist in harmony.

The album features 8 new vocal tracks sung by Atlanta based Molly Bancroft and London based Jan Burton. Gabriel & Dresden also collaborated with San Francisco based DJ Scarlett Etienne on a dirty instrumental that has already been played on Pete Tong's "Essential Selection" BBC 1 Radio show, alongside other exclusive cuts from the album, including the first single to be released, "Tracking Treasure Down".

Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden are on a creative high. In addition to creating their debut artist album, they have just remixed the Oscar Winning theme song "The Wings" from Brokeback Mountain (Verve), and were nominated for four International Dance Music Awards in the categories of: "Best Producer", "Best American DJ", "Best Remixer", and "Best Progressive House/Trance Track" at Miami WMC. 2006 is shaping up to be one on helluva ride for Gabriel & Dresden.

PLEASE NOTE: Purchase of this album provides you with the 12 individual tracks as they appear on the physical format CD. There is also a version of the album that comes as one continuous mix which is available if you click here.
